WINDSHIELDS AND WINDOWS HAVE BEEN ORGANIZED FOR EASY ACCESS
Windshields and windows have been organized so that you can see all of the products that are available for your
aircraft make and model. Windshield applications for each aircraft model group are listed first. Next, side windows
are listed starting with the left front and progressing through to the rear windows. Special applications, such as
vent windows for the right side Piper door window, are listed last. Windows come in three colors: clear, 2111 green
tint, and 2515 solar gray tint. A standard 20% charge is added to the list price of each item for green or solar tint.
Those products that have non-standard pricing for the green and solar gray tints are listed last along with other
special applications. Piper aircraft have the most options for thicker windshields and windows and non-standard
green and solar gray tint pricing.
If your aircraft make or model is not listed on our website, please give us a call and we will check on
availability and provide you with a price quote.
WHAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER WHEN PURCHASING WINDSHILDS AND WINDOWS
There are several factors you might want to consider before upgrading your aircraft windshield and windows. First,
do you want clear, green tinted or solar gray tinted glass. Second, do you want to change the thickness of your
windshield and windows. Using thicker glass will reduce sound levels inside the airplane, but you will pay a slight
penalty in reduced useful load. For example, if you owned a Piper Cherokee airplane with three windows on each
side and you changed from 1/8 inch windshield and windows to 1/4 inch windshield and windows, your useful load
would be reduced by about 15 pounds. Of course, if you have thicker glass or fewer windows, your weight penalty
would be less. Other considerations are whether to go with a one-piece or later model windshield design. Either
of these changes might cost considrably more than the standard design, but could improve the appearance and
speed of your airplane. We also offer several compass mounting options for Cessna aircraft which you might want
to consider. We will help you obtain the information you need to make a decision on the various installation options.
