These pressure-sensitive FAA approved decal kits are used to identify instruments, equipment, and controls inside
the aircraft cockpit and provide instructions and markings for the exterior of the aircraft. These decals are
manufactured to very tight tolerances, assuring you of an exact fit for instrument identification.
When making your selections, some aircraft have two different manufacturers for interior decals. Those decals
that have a part number that begins with the letters "KPP" come from one manufacturer. These decals have white
writing on a black background and come to you already precut at no additional cost for easy application to your
aircraft. They also come to you with the following additional features: matte finish paper, exterior quality ink, and
seven (7) year exterior vinyl paper. This manufacturer does not offer any external decals.
The remaining decals that do not have the above three-letter prefix come from the second decal manufacturer.
The decals from this manufacturer normally come in solid sheets and the decals have to be manually cut out by
the installer, unless pre-cut decals are specified with your order. Pre-cut decals cost and additional $15.00 per
page. However, this manufacturer provides three different color combinations and also has exterior placards and
decals for many aircraft. The three available color combinations are: black letters on a white background, black
letters on a clear background, and white letters on a clear background. The total number of sheets required to
complete each kit is shown with each part number description. When you specify pre-cut decals, the program will
automatically determine the number of sheets required for each decal part number.
When you place your order, please specify your aircraft make, model, year, and serial number. Also, specify
the color combination you desire and whether you desire pre-cut decals as necessary. Some decals are printed
in red. The FAA requires for decals that are in red to stay in that specified color.
